Rachel Studios Universe (RSU)

A creative journey beginning with an animated film series that evolved into the expansive Rachel Studios Universe, defining our long-term vision for interconnected storytelling.

I directed the animation team for Rachel: The Animated Series. All assets created by others are appropriately labeled.

Target Audience: Adults interested in the worlds of drama, sci-fi, and horror

Attributes: Cinematic, Bold, Direct

A genetically engineered girl destined to kill corrupted gods must survive a world-ending apocalypse, master her suppressed divinity, and decide whether humanity is worth saving—before divine forces erase existence itself.

Colors

A fiery red and warm gold contrast with neutral browns and black. These colors combine a cinematic experience with a broken and war-torn world.

Typography

Primary

The primary typeface consists of rough hand-drawn letterforms that communicate the dramatic and post-apocalyptic nature of the series. It mimics the idea of graffiti or people scratching Rachel’s name into walls.

Secondary

Simple sans-serif text compliments the primary typeface.

Logo

Primary

A black background ties in the idea of cinema and highlights the colors of the logo against the white outlines.

Secondary

A white background is necessary for contexts such as printing where a large space filled with black would be unideal. The logo and its colors still shine in this version.

Visual Style

The visual style is anime-inspired with a lean towards naturalistic proportions. The animal characters are more cartoon-based, but the humans look realistic and relatable.

The Story

Core Concept

  • Format: Premium Serialized Animated Series (8 Seasons)

  • Genre: Sci-Fi Fantasy / Mythological Thriller / Post-Apocalyptic

  • Tone: Dark, cinematic, emotional, high-concept

  • Tagline: She wasn’t chosen. She was engineered to end gods.

  • Explores:

    • Power vs humanity

    • Control vs chaos

    • Identity vs destiny

Hook

  • Not a chosen one → a designed failsafe

  • Apocalypse = activation, not destruction

  • Creatures evolve dynamically (not traditional zombies)

  • Structured power system (Rachel 12% vs Gods 85%)

  • Multiverse used as controlled narrative, not chaos

Themes

  • Humanity is strength, not weakness

  • Power without restraint leads to corruption

  • Control systems inevitably fail

  • Death is transformation
